The Next Deal will transition the power grid from fossil fuels to renewable energy. It will create millions of good paying jobs all over the country. We can create the factories that make solar panels, wind turbines, and hydro power components. We have the ability to transition to a zero emission country, but do we have the moral will? We can modernize public housing, farms, and ranches to zero carbon or produce on-site renewable energy. We can modernize communities and make them more self-sufficient.
The Next Deal will bring all critical manufacturing back to this country beyond solar, wind, and hydro. We need steel, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, machinery, microchips, chemicals, and rare earth manufacturing to be made here in America. Our new trade policies will be about protecting American working class people, not just protecting the interests of large corporations. We can stop the outsourcing of jobs overseas just to let billionaires save a buck on American jobs.
Tax The Rich
“Opulence has too often paved for a nation the way to depravity and ultimate destruction.”- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Why Does it stop at less than 1 mil? why is the highest tax rate only 35%.? It should be at Least 90%.

Raise The Minimum Wage
The minimum wage needs to be raised from $7.25/hr starvation wage to at least $22.00/hr and tied to inflation. In America, today, over 65% of the country can’t afford a $1,000 emergency of any kind, whether it be financial or sickness is unfathomable. Millions of people work 40+ hrs weeks only to be unable to afford rent, unable to buy a house, unable to eat.
I support Senator Sanders “Raise The Wage Act” and the “Workplace Democracy Act.” The “Workplace Democracy Act” is all about the worker and expanding their rights in the workplace. It would eliminate “right to work” laws and give even more bargaining and negotiating power to the workers.
Medicare for All
FDR said every American has “The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health”. The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of very old age, sickness, and accident, and unemployment”.
What Does that Mean?
- A single payer system where every doctor is in-network and available.
- Dental, Vision, Hearing included
- No overpaying for private plans that don't cover people's needs.
- The Government will negotiate the price of all drugs directly with the drug companies, cutting out the insurance middle man and capping costs yearly.
- No huge surprise deductibles
- Businesses would no longer have to pay for health benefits for employees allowing them to pay a higher wage.
- Employees and Uninsured Americans will no longer have to worry if a call could be bankruptcy.
- We can achieve all these rights and have the most cost effective and popular solution to solve the health care crisis in this country.

Education Reform
Every child has the right to pursue an education in this country. We need to overhaul the educational system from pre-K, early childhood education, all the way to 12th grade, high school, trade schools, bachelors, and doctorates. We need to have affordable public higher education, also college or trade school funded by the government.
Childcare has become more than unaffordable, it's almost unattainable. We need more of Head Start, we need a robust support system for families that care and prepare young children for school.
Teachers are the backbone of the american educational system and for too long they have been taken advantage of. Quality public education is a right, and every child regardless of socioeconomic status, should be given the opportunity to succeed. No young person should avoid going to college because it is unaffordable.
Common Sense Gun Reform
If you need a license to drive a car, you should need a license to own a gun.
To own a gun, Americans should be required to meet a minimum standard of gun safety training. These can be as simple as Red flag laws, time holds, and background checks. We can require taking 1 gun safety class every 3-5 years, veterans exempt for as long as they served (yrs). It can be part of the ATF, and we can hire veterans to teach gun safety classes.

Climate Change
Climate change is Real, it’s man-made, and it’s our responsibility to preserve our planet. If we continue to do nothing the floods, the tornadoes, and the hurricanes will only continue to become more frequent and more severe. You might not believe in climate change, but your insurance company does. We can combine the need for green renewable energy and rebuilding this country’s infrastructure with the green new deal, and it can be a corner stone of this countries future prosperity.
Wall Street Wealth Tax
In 2008 the United States taxpayer had to pay a $16 trillion bailout because they gambled with our money and LOST sounds like socialism for the rich. Not a single CEO went to jail, and they all got their multi million dollar bonuses. Today the two largest wall street institutions own $21.7 trillion, or over 1/2 of the national deficit. No bank or financial institution should be “Too Big To Fail”. This is the group think that caused the financial crisis.
I support Senator Sanders “Too Big To Fail act” , and I support common sense capital gains tax reform.
Old Capital gain tax

New Capital gain tax

Any person or business that makes less than $75,000 by trading or being a retail investor will not be affected.
A fee to identify and slow automated trades by massive institutions using AI.
The largest and ultra-wealthy will pay their fair share. No more hiding assets or income by the top 1% to avoid taxes. Unrealized gains in the multi-millions and billions will be taxed, and realized gains will be taxed at an appropriate level.
The capital gains tax rate increases as the larger amount of money you make.

Veterans
in South Carolina, veterans make up about 8.5% of our states adult population, about 345,000 veterans. Our state, just like our country, has a rich military history. For 250 years American’s have answered the call, but now their in a battle they can’t win alone. We need to reverse the disasterous layoffs and appose freezing to hiring that prohibits quality care from being fast, easy, and available everywhere.
We can achieve our goals by fully funding the VA to repair, modernize, and rebuild hospitals and clinics. Expanding VA staffing by filling vacancies such as doctors, nurses, and other critical staff to address the healthcare needs of veterans. The claims process must be simplified to guarantee veterans receive compensation within 120 days. Ensuring the VA will NEVER be privatized, no middle man or private insurance to deny your care.
